Kitty Carlisle was a Decca recording artist during the 1940s and was part of several Decca recreation cast recordings. She sang the part of the Countess on the original cast recording of Song Of Norway (1944), replacing Irra Petina because Petina had a contract with Columbia Records at the time.

If you are a Marx Brothers fan, would would know that Kitty Carisle was a singer because she sang “Alone” with the great motion picture singer Allan Jones (whose son is the pop singer Jack Jones) in the movie A Night At The Opera.

Later in life she actually sang at the Met.
