Thanks to Guy and Becky and apologies to list for collapsing in memory the email from Ricardo and the one from Guy. I've had this meeting on my calendar since May when we agreed at annual meeting to hold it.

I wanted to remind everyone that this meeting is one the state centers have traditionally taken a lead on, recognizing that LOC is up to its ears in NBF prep. Last year Pam did run the meeting as she was settling in, but in prior years we stepped up to shape agenda. So I hope people will take LOC up on offer and send ideas.

Clearly communication and consideration of whether our listserv is still serving us is a hot topic!

Cheers, S

All—

I apologize for the lack of information. We are still trying to determine what was and was not communicated to you before Pam’s departure.

There WILL be a non-mandatory Center for the Book meeting before our National Book Festival reception on Friday, Sept. 1.

The meeting will occur in the Madison Building, sixth floor, Montpelier Room, 3-4:30pm. The reception will begin at 5pm.

An agenda will be sent to you before the meeting. If there are any issues you want to see on the agenda, please let me know.

It’s not you Lisa—unless I am missing the information too. The letter from Guy does not mention the Friday meeting. We have an earlier email message from Ricardo (dated 6/19) that mentions the meeting on the afternoon of 9/1, and that it will be two hours in length, but not the time. You might want to call or email them directly.

I must be blind. In the attachment from 7/14, I only see reference to the reception which starts at 5 on 9/1. Am I overlooking the affiliate meeting which is usually held in advance of the reception or is there another doc?

Hello Everyone:

I don't know if I'm losing my mind or what, but I'm pretty sure we have an affiliates meeting scheduled on Friday, 9/1 in the afternoon prior to the National Book Festival, right? Can't find the reference anywhere (so maybe I AM losing my mind)... Just checking to ensure that I book the right train or plane to arrive in time for the meeting.

Thanks and my apologies if this information is already available.

Best,

Lisa
