Job Summary:

Responsible for the conception, organization, and implementation of all House Library events, including the promotion of library services, resources, and collections. Candidate will serve as a vital part of the teaching team and will assist in research and reference requests and day-to-day and special projects. Candidate will support the library staff in the completion of other daily tasks and activities.



Candidate must possess an ability to lead various library events from beginning to end demonstrating a broad knowledge of library outreach, event coordination, and social media talents and skills. Candidate must be well-organized with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; detail, task and results-oriented; able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; and must possess the temperament to interact with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, professional and effective manner. Candidate must possess a professional telephone manner and must exhibit an ability to quickly research, compile, and disseminate information. Candidate must be able to lift and/or move 25 pounds of library materials.


A Master’s degree in Library Science, History, and/or a related field is desired; library experience is preferred.
