GeoPlatform Workshop 2017
Leveraging Mission Efficiencies for Event Driven Collaboration

Hosted by: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency & Department of Interior

The purpose of this workshop is to reintroduce the Geospatial Platform (GeoPlatform) and share the updates and improvements to the community of data stewards who produce and use governmental, academic, private, and public data to inform national and regional issues. There will be presentations on interagency and multi partner event coordination; Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Data (HIFLD) Overview & Data Strategy; community partnerships; leveraging mission efficiencies; as well as programmatic concerns and constraints.

Objectives of the Workshop:

  *   Enhance the ability to leverage mission efficiencies for interagency collaboration and event driven solutions
  *   Enhance Information Sharing capabilities of the Federal Government by encouraging dynamic geospatial data sharing through the web-service capabilities facilitated and promoted by the GeoPlatform
  *   Enable community feedback to identify improvements for the GeoPlatform
  *   Encourage dialogue with the community on barriers to event driven collaboration, identify challenges and discuss solutions
