You can try it, but having never tested it I have no idea if it is compatible. If you do try it, please let me know if it works!
Agreed about the instructions. The solr version also leads to questions, given the current version of solr is 7! I'm guessing trying a different version of solr might really mess things up.
The install instructions really need a good update since there are parts that are either wrong or just out of date. Since Jetty is just being used to serve Java SOLR code it doesn’t matter what version you use. The version of SOLR that The Library Of Congress is using is 4.10 and it comes pre-packaged with Jetty so I ended up using that.
Quick question - is anyone using jetty 8 or 9 with the current Github Chronam code? The instructions are focused on Jetty 7.
