Hi,

I will likely attend on May 9 and 10; would need accommodations on the evening of the 8th and 9th and perhaps the 10th if I can’t get a flight the evening of the 10th.

Subject: upcoming Idea Exchange

All—

The 2018 Idea Exchange meeting of affiliated Centers for the Book  will be held Wednesday, May 9, 8:30-5, followed by a reception with representatives and members of COSLA (Chief Officers of State Library Agencies). COSLA will be holding a meeting at the Library that day as well.

The Reading-Promotion Partners meeting on the following day, Thursday, May 10, will be a daylong conference on literacy, tentatively featuring a keynote speaker and panel discussions on various topics relating to literacy. You are all invited to this meeting as well.

Because Monday and Tuesday, May 7-8 are National Library Legislative days, you may have plans to be in town for those as well.

We are hoping to secure a block of low-cost rooms for your stay and need to know your intentions. Could you please let us know by Tuesday, Jan. 30, whether you intend to join us and for which days you need a hotel room. This is not a firm commitment on your part, but this will allow us to move forward now on securing low-cost rooms.

Also, please send us your wishes/ideas for meeting topics on May 9.

We are working on an agenda now and will send out as soon as possible.

Thank you,
