The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of two Metro Stops: Federal Center SW (1 stop from Capitol South station) and L'Enfant Plaza (2 stops from Capitol South). The Library's Madison Building is diagonally across the street from the Capitol South Metro station on the blue/orange/silver lines. There is a Metro station at the airport. $190/night: Holiday Inn Old Town Alexandria This hotel is at the northern end of beautiful, historic Alexandria, Va., the oldest city in the Washington metro area. You can walk to many restaurants as well as to the Potomac waterfront. A free shuttle to and from National Airport is available, where you can catch Metro. This hotel is 2 miles from the airport.
