Its not the export process, it occurs at the capture stage. The Behringer / iMic whatever outputs digital stereo OK. Its Audacity that loses the input right channel and replaces this with the left channel. The input left channel remains OK. So the resultant capture is a 'stereo' file but with both the right and left channels identical to the input left channel. This effectively then sounds like a mono recording.
