Decide which is best to keep, add any necessary data to it and ask [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to delete the other one. LC will add the 040 $z.

Subject: [PCCLIST] 2 NARs for the same person

Hi

What to do when you have 2 authority records for the same person? Both were from NACO contributors. One is coded for RDA and the other is not. They were input within a month of each other. Merging the pre-rda into the RDA? request a deletion of both and create a new one? Update the RDA record with more information and request the other one to be deleted? Move the 010 from this one to the $z into the rda record?

Please advice. Thanks.

Ivan
