Hi Tim I have to decks and had used them a number of times for clients. The tapes are lofi to begin with but the decks operate quietly so I never saw the need to rehouse. The mechanism pulls the tape out of the shell and threads it inside the machine. From there it a regular deck. Nothing to write home about. בברכה, שי דרורי. 0544-470-420 מומחה לשימור ודיגיטציה של נגטיבים אודיו וידאו ופילם 8-35ממ Cheers Shai Drori Expert digitization services for Audio Video 3K scanning for film 8mm-35mm Timeless Recordings Music Label www.audiovideofilm.com [log in to unmask] Tripadvisor level 6 contributor, level 15 restaurant expert On Thu, Aug 23, 2018 at 1:30 PM Tim Gillett <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Well the tape is basically the same as cassette but as I said, there's > probably a much longer tape length than would fit into a standard Compact > Cassette so it would need to be divided into shorter lengths that would > fit > into standard CC shells.
