How should the screen look when capturing frequency peak distribution of a
well equalized classical orchestra using peak-and-hold?   Can you cite a
picture on line as a good example?

 

As the microphone hears flat and the human ear responds unevenly as shown in
the Fletcher-Musson curve, should the functioning of the spectrum analyzer
be adjusted to reflect this by altering its response by choosing to "A"
weight it? 

 

Should this be so, this assumes that the operator exercises musical
judgement, using the above as a guide, not a critic.
