The Smithsonian American Art Museum/National Portrait Gallery Library (AAPG Library) serves two of the Institution's museums and focuses on American art   and biography.  The largest of four art libraries at the Smithsonian, the AAPG Library, contains over 180,000 volumes in addition to special collections, vertical files, artists books, and other materials.  Attendees will learn about the collections and resources available at the library, digital initiatives in process, and will view selections from special collections held in the library.

Directions
The library is located in the Victor Building at 750 9th Street, NW, just north of the actual National Portrait Gallery building. Take the Red Line to the Gallery Place/Chinatown station and follow the signs to the "Galleries" exit. Cross both 9th St. and G St. then head north towards H St. Enter the Victor Building at 750 9th Street and check in with security at the front desk. The library is located on the second floor.
