Hello,
Thank you very much, Stephen, for your response, and thank you to all who responded to me privately. There is, apparently, still a high level of ambiguity in treating "brothers" and "sisters" in authority records. Some see them as corporate bodies (110 in MARC), others as joint pseudonyms (100 in MARC) and they provide their justification.
I would really appreciate a PCC PSD ruling on the authorities like these. Could you kindly respond if the choice is optional or strictly defined.
Best regards,
Leszek
Hello,
I am seeking a PSD ruling on authorities for "brothers."
There seems to be a discrepancy in seeing two brothers as either a corporate body or a form of pseudonym, e.g.
110 2 Bratří Čapkové (n 88092947 )
100 0 Bratʹi︠a︡ Alovy (n 2003052816)
Each authority represents two literary authors who are not a company's name.
What is the right form?
Thank you,
Leszek Czubik
