I am planning to send out a more official update tomorrow about OCLC’s progress with updating the OCLC node’s copy of the NAF. So, as a quick update, we are currently loading the file from March 29. So, we are only one week behind rather than 2 weeks, which was true at the beginning of the week.

But, this is unrelated to the statistics. The counts you get from OCLC are based on the transactions you make (updates of existing records or creation of new records) when you are logged onto OCLC.

So, the statistics are the work you did and have nothing to do with the distribution issues.

I hope that helps!
Sincerely,

Cynthia M. Whitacre

Subject: Re: [PCCLIST] Reminder: April 15 deadline for entering PCC statistics

Do we know whether OCLC has finished updating its copy of the LCNAF? That had been delayed last I heard. Do the counts we get from OCLC depend on the authorities we create and update having completed the distribution cycle?

Just to be clear ... If someone has been entering statistics every month, is it also necessary to enter the 6-month totals?

Dear PCC participants,

This is a friendly reminder that April 15th is the deadline for PCC institutions to enter their PCC statistics for the first half of fiscal year 2019. All NACO, BIBCO, CONSER, and SACO contributions made during the months of October 2018-March 2019 should be entered into the PCC Directory by this date.

Instructions can be found in the “Statistics” section at the bottom of the PCC Directory web page: http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/pccd<http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/pccd>

In particular, please see the “Guidelines for Entering Statistics in the PCC Directory” which were recently updated based on queries received:

After the April 15th deadline, we plan to run a report on the statistics that have been entered in the PCC Directory. The report will be posted here: http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/stats.html<http://www.loc.gov/aba/pcc/stats.html>

Thank you,

Manon
