Mr Deb,

I am not offended. I was simply asking if the list managers feel okay about anybody harvesting and emailing listmembers with or without permission.

Other lists I am on do not allow this, and ban people who do it. But some lists do allow it, not a problem.

It is not much trouble, nor any offense, to delete unwanted emails. It was simply the proximity of your recent post to the list to the linkedin email that made me take notice. It is not as though you were selling somehthing or otherwise being a nuisance! Linked In is a respectable service, and does not offend me.

FYI, I am on this list because of my interest in transferring and restoring analog audio tapes; I have not really much interest in old music (except jazz!) or disc recordings of any type, so I routinely delete most ARSC posts, reading many of interest, so I am not being proprietary about it at all.

But I am curious, did you send such an invitation to all the names on the list, or what - and how did you get them?

I also apologize to you, not meaning to pick on you personally! And I understand that being in your country it must take some extraordinary means to contact such prime people as we have here on ARSCList!
