Hi all,

TS-DACS recently responded to a closed call for reviewers<https://www.ica.org/en/ica-ric-o-call-for-reviewers-is-now-closed> from the International Council on Archives' Expert Group on Archival Description (EGAD)<http://www.ica.org/en/about-egad> on their first draft of RiC-O (Records in Contexts Ontology). RiC is a proposed international standard for archival description that is integrating and building upon the four existing ICA standards - ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF), ISDF, and ISDIAH. RiC-O is a draft RDF ontology based on the Records in Context Conceptual Model (RiC-CM)<https://www.ica.org/en/egad-ric-conceptual-model>

While the draft version of RiC-O is not yet publically available, TS-DACS is sharing our feedback on RiC-O in the interest of transparency and in the hopes of continuing the discussion.

In recent updates, EGAD has stated that they plan to release RiC-O v0.1 by the end of September along with a public open call for comments, along with a second draft of RiC-CM v0.2 in Fall 2019.

Best,
Greg Wiedeman
(on behalf of TS-DACS)
