*LAC Group* is seeking a *Webmaster *for a position with a prestigious
government library located in Washington, DC. This is a long-term full-time
(40 hours a week; Monday to Friday) contract opportunity with benefits.
This role is required to be performed on-site.

*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Maintain and update the backend of the Library websites and keep them
   running smoothly. This includes designing, building, and implementing new
   Web pages and sites
   - Work with multiple internal divisions to enhance Web pages and respond
   to user needs
   - Use the Web and social media platforms to deliver and promote library
   services and collections
   - Collaborate with outside vendors as needed
   - Manage databases and ebooks
   - Provide reference support to internal and external users
   - Collaborate with Library staff on projects as needed


*QUALIFICATIONS:*

   - Must have an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution
   - Position requires 3 years’ experience providing website support
   - Experience with SharePoint in a workplace setting
   - Prior experience training staff on new resources
   - Experience using social media to promote Library services
   - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills
   - Must be able to work both independently and as part of a motivated and
   productive team
   - Must have excellent attention to detail
   - Ability to work with emerging technologies and learn new skills
   - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
