Title: "Continuing Resources, Diachronic Works, and the Progression Toward a Linked Data Worldview"
Description: Metadata models and guidelines continue to move toward a linked data worldview. While the metamorphosis of continuing resources into diachronic works progresses, we are developing our understanding of the concepts and building blocks that form its foundation. This forum will provide insight into linked data modeling for serials so far by highlighting the research and work done with continuing resources in the LC BIBFRAME pilot and the LD4P2 project. It will also provide a closer look at multi-volume monographs as diachronic works along with updates on diachronic works within the LC-PCC PS.

Speakers:
Ed Jones: Associate Director, Library Assessment and Technical Services, National University (San Diego); Co-chair, PCC Standing Committee on Standards, Member of the RSC Aggregates Working Group and past chair of its Serials Task Force; Member of the LC-PCC Task Group on Diachronic Works in the Beta RDA Toolkit

Melanie Polutta: Cataloging Policy Specialist, Library of Congress Policy, Training, and Cooperative Programs Division

Tina Shrader: Cataloging and Metadata Management Section, National Library of Medicine. Co-chair, LD4P2 Serials Affinity Group.
