SUBJECT : 2020 biennial conference registration
NLS 2020: Access, Discovery, Engagement, the 2020 National Conference of Librarians Serving Blind and Print Disabled Individuals, will take place in Lincoln, Nebraska, May 17–21, 2020.
The conference will be preceded by a preconference workshop, Accessible Technologies and Applications (coordinated by the Midlands Conference), on Saturday, May 16, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Join more than 180 fellow librarians and library staff in Lincoln to explore the major 2020 initiatives for NLS. You will hear from leading experts and explore compelling themes such as:
The conference will also spotlight new partnerships, technologies, and initiatives. Participants will learn cutting-edge ways to use data to understand users, measure and communicate impact, and plan for the future. There will be training and workshop sessions on streamlining processes for coding books, BARD administration troubleshooting, making the most of Voyager searches, and more. Learn how to maximize existing tools and resources and discuss with your peers what new methods, procedures, and policies are needed to provide patrons with the best library service possible.
Registration for the 2020 conference is now open. To register, please complete and submit the online form NLS 2020 Conference Registration no later than April 15.
The Graduate Hotel at 141 N. Ninth St. in downtown Lincoln is the host hotel for this year’s conference. Those attending can make reservations online or by calling the Graduate Hotel at 402-475-4011.
Hotel reservations must be made no later than noon (EDT) on April 15. The daily room rate is $94 per single or double, plus applicable taxes. To obtain the conference rate, please state that you are making reservations for the Library of Congress, National Library Service Conference, 2020.
