I don’t see any lines when I access the SHM through Cataloger’s Desktop. However, there are a couple of vertical lines in the free PDF version of H 373 online. In the past those lines have been used to indicate a section that has been revised in the latest version of a text.

Subject: [PCCLIST] Lines in SHM
What do the vertical lines in the margins beside text in the Subject Headings Manuals mean?
The specific instruction I'm looking at is about adding a parenthetical qualifier after an abbreviation in a 4XX field (H373).
Thanks,
