Subject: New Center for the Book colleague in Nevada

Dear all,

I would like to introduce Kathleen Kuo, Nevada Humanities' newest Program Manager. As she gets settled in her new role based out of our Las Vegas program office, Kathleen will assume the responsibilities for the Center for the Book in Nevada.

Here is a bit of a bio on our wonderful new colleague:

A longtime resident of the Midwest, Kathleen Kuo moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2019 and is excited to better serve her new home through the work of Nevada Humanities. As an ethnomusicologist and educator, she is passionate about cultivating awareness and respect for our worlds rich cultural diversity and heritage, and promoting the significance of the humanities in our everyday lives. In addition to teaching undergraduate courses on music and culture, she has previously worked with the Archives of Traditional Music, Mathers Museum of World Cultures, and the Lotus Education and Arts Foundation. Kathleen holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Chicago, an MA in Music from Tufts University, and is a PhD Candidate in Ethnomusicology at Indiana University.

Please join me in welcoming Kathleen to Nevada, Nevada Humanities, and the national Center for the Book family. Guy, can you please add her permanently to this listserv?

Thank you!

Stephanie
