The Library of Congress has made two additions to the BIBFRAME web site:
1) BIBFRAME Editor Design specifications. These specifications were created under contract with Samhæng, working with a small group of Library of Congress catalogers who had experience with the current BIBFRAME Editor used by the Library since the start of the BIBFRAME pilot. The Specifications include highlevel wireframes, a details file, and a video about the design. The design is currently being implemented in a prototype by Library staff.
2) Slides from the BIBFRAME Update. This was an update that was held on June 24, 2020, during the week of virtual ALA. This virtual session illustrates how the implementation of BIBFRAME continues during these difficult times with reports from Stanford on its expanding LD4 activities and OCLC on its entity management infrastructure project. The Library of Congress demonstrates the Editor prototype it is developing using the new editor interface design specifications and the progress on its BIBFRAME to MARC conversions.
