All—the Library of Congress Caucus is a group of House members especially interested in promoting the activities of the Library and who are interested in its well-being. As you can see from the list, most states have at least one member in the Caucus.

This issue came up at the Idea Exchange. My colleague Kimberly Crawford talked about the reading project with members of Congress. If you are interested in participating, she will identify a member who is interested in the project. We are not able to share the full list of the members who belong to the Library Caucus, only the states involved. If there is a particular member you want to work with, she can contact his/her office to determine interest.

I’m also a little surprised that ND isn’t listed. They have supported libraries in the past.

Thanks for sending this out to all of us, Guy. I don't know anything about what this library caucus is. Would you be willing to describe it a little more to us so we in Wisconsin know, at least, if it would be appropriate for us to have someone involved? If I missed a previous email where that was explained, my apologies. I'm a librarian myself and a few others leaders of the Wisconsin Center are in the field, so there might be interest here.

Thanks,
Nick

All—here is the list of states that have members in the Library of Congress Caucus. If your state is on the list and you want to participate, please contact Kimberly Crawford, cc’d here, in Congressional Relations. She will help identify a member to work with and contact the member to determine interest in participating.

Thanks,
Guy
