A Library of Congress intern, Herman Chavez from Colorado, is inviting the Colorado Center for the Book to facilitate recordings of U.S. Hispanic/Latino authors and seeks to record first those who also identify as indigenous.

Recordings are 30-60 minutes of whatever published or unpublished work the authors choose. Recordings will be stored in a PALABRA archive and authors will be asked to contribute to an instructional packet in Spanish and Portuguese. 

Pablo Neruda has two of the 800 recordings they have archived for posterity and they want to add more North American voices to the predominantly European, Mexican, and Latin American voices. 

Would you all be interested in a brief (7-minute) presentation for our next chat by Herman Chavez and the PALABRA archive curator about this opportunity to record and archive Latinx/Hispanic authors for posterity?
