The record in question was created in June 2002 by University of Buffalo just at the end of the era where integrating resources were coded as monographs. A view of the record in University of Buffalo's catalog shows a version before modifications to the copy in WorldCat. Their record has 042 pcc and no LCCN which is not unusual for a BIBCO record. A review of the history the same record in WorldCat back to 2012 never shows a version with an LCCN or any coding other than monograph. So, it seems unlikely to me that any LCCN had ever been assigned.

If you are correcting the bibliographic level to "i", then the record either needs to become CONSER-authenticated by adding an LCCN or needs to have the 042 pcc removed since integrating resources are outside the current scope of BIBCO.

Subject: [PCCLIST] pcc in 042 but no 010

Greetings all,

OCLC #50044313 has an 042 of pcc but lacks an 010. I realized this when I tried to edit it. It is currently cataloged as an online monograph record but is an online integrating resource.

OCLC would not let me replace the record without either removing the 042 or adding an 010. I am reluctant to do either one because it seems like somewhere out there is an already assigned LCCN for this resource/record.

There have been a number of records merged into #50044313, which makes me think that a PCC record was inadvertently overlaid with a non-PCC record and somehow the 010 was removed in that process. The records that have been merged into it are:

40547205
44194620
48128299
48150973
49606511
49631922
49756865
49919368
50211248
50240861

Another tidbit to note is that the record was last replaced in 2017.

Does anyone have a record that still contains the LCCN? If not, how should I proceed?

Thanks!

Mary
