</div><div><br></div><div>The RDA Steering Committee is pleased to announce that Elisa Sze has 
been appointed to the position of Education and Orientation Officer.</div><br>The
 Education and Training Officer facilitates effective RDA instruction 
relating to the official Toolkit and encourages and supports communities
 in their transition to the official Toolkit.<br><br>This temporary 
position has a one-year term beginning January 1, 2022, with the 
possibility of one renewal upon mutual agreement. Elisa will join the 
RSC effective immediately to start orientation prior to the beginning of
 her term.<br><br>Elisa Sze is a metadata librarian at the University of
 Toronto Libraries (UTL), where she oversees the central library&#39;s 
English language cataloguing and co-chairs the Metadata Management 
Functional Team. In addition to her appointment with UTL, she is a 
sessional instructor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of 
Information (iSchool), where she teaches a cataloguing course for its 
ALA-accredited Master of Information program.<br><br>Elisa’s research 
interests revolve around technical services planning and Canadian 
library history. She has co-authored articles in Cataloging &amp; 
Classification Quarterly and a book chapter in the forthcoming 
publication Transforming Technical Services through Training and 
Development (ALA Editions). Her archival research paper on settlement 
house libraries in Toronto will be published in volume 56, issue 3 of 
Information &amp; Culture (University of Texas Press).<br><br>Elisa has a
 Master of Information Studies degree and Honours Bachelor of Arts 
degree from the University of Toronto, and an Associate Diploma from the
