June 2019 was the last
time we gathered in person for an ALA Conference, and it seems like a lifetime
ago. When we attended that conference in Washington, D.C., no one could have imagined
the challenges that a global pandemic would bring to our lives and to our libraries.
We’re excited to be returning to Washington, D.C., for
our first in-person conference in three years, where some things will admittedly
be different. There will be social distancing, vaccination, and mask requirements
— all of which are necessary to keep us safe.
There will also be joyful reunions, celebrations of the work we’ve accomplished
during the pandemic, and lots of great opportunities to learn from each other.
Have a look at the education
sessions in the Preliminary
Scheduler. Here are a few that I'm especially looking forward to: |
