To those of you who have tried (in vain) to access files
on LC's anonymous FTP server, you'll be happy to hear that
the access problem has been resolved.

My attempt to have access limited to "read only" for the
files in the EAD server space resulted in access having been
cut off completely, even to me! To make matters worse, the
two people who might have helped (one of which actually made
the change) were on vacation last week.
As of 9:00 this morning the configuration has been corrected.

Sorry for the inconvenience this might have cause some of you.

By the way, there are now more than 240 of you monitoring this
list! Thanks for being interested in the work going on with
the Encoded Archival Description DTD!
