FEDLINK Fall Membership Meeting
Morning Session: Membership Meeting
The Fall 1997 FEDLINK Membership Meeting will feature a presentation on
the International Trade Center Bookstore at the new Ronald Reagan
Building. Pat McNutt, Trade Center Bookstore Chair and
Director of Sales at NTIS, will give a briefing on designing programs to
meet public demand for government information and will identify
opportunities for the federal community to become a part of this
dynamic project.
The meeting will also include reports and updates from the following FLICC
Working Group Chairs: Education--Amy Begg, Smithsonian; Information
Technology--TBA; Survey--Elizabeth Yeates, Nuclear
Regulatory Agency; Personnel--Tad Downing, GPO, and Preservation and
Binding--Paula Vincent, Pentagon.
Afternoon Session: The FLICC Web Site and ALIX-FS Overview
A special afternoon seminar will highlight FLICC and FEDLINKs newly
updated World Wide Web Site with a focus on working with ALIX-FS account
data and OCLC Usage files.
ALIX-FS offers password-protected access to: daily reports of your
transfer pay account balances; invoice and delivery order information from
account statements, and OCLC usage and expenditure
reports.
Downloading and analyzing this financial data will help you identify
patterns in your system usage and spending, plan ways to stretch service
dollars, and justify library budgets. Please join this detailed session
where Erik Delfino and Meg Williams, FEDLINK Network Program Specialists,
will teach you how to:
log onto ALIX-FS through the FLICC Web Site;
import data into databases or spreadsheets;
view your data online;
analyze and report on the data;
download your statement and OCLC usage files, and
ink analysis to library performance goals.

Fall Membership Meeting is followed by an afternoon seminar from
1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on FLICC and FEDLINK's Web Site and ALIX-FS
electronic fiscal reporting. The regularly scheduled OCLC meeting
will be held October 29th.
