Meeting Announcement MA 98-21 Assessing Information Technology in Federal Libraries The FLICC Information Technology (IT) Working Group is unveiling its online instrument for librarians to assess the state of information technology in their federal library or information center. Join us for a discussion of how the IT Working Group created the interactive survey, what topics it covers, how best to complete it, how to use it to demonstrate your library or information center's technological sophistication, and get more agency support to expand your efforts. Those who complete the online IT Assessment through the FLICC Web site will join a national database of other respondents. This new database will help you compare your library's hardware, software and systems with other federal libraries whose size and mission are similar to yours. You will also be able to use a set of standard reports to see which integrated library systems other libraries are using, who has a Web site, who has completed a requirements analysis, and more!
