The vacancy announcement follows: __Manager, Reader Services -- Talking Book Program, Texas State Library and Archives Commission.__ Successful candidate will manage unit which provides statewide library services to persons with visual or physical disabilities. They will supervise professional and supervisory staff; plan, organize, implement and evaluate Reader Services operations and procedures and develop short- and long-terms plans for the Talking Book Program. Position Requirements: MLS from an accredited program; three years of library experience, including two or more years as a professional librarian, and including experience in reference work, online searching, bibliographic verification, supervision, and use of microcomputers; one year supervisory experience in a library public service environment, and six months using computerized statistical applications. Must have enthusiasm and interest in promotion library service for readers with disabilities. College transcripts and writing samples must accompany application. Position open until filled.
